Whirler Bottom Discharge Vertical Basket Centrifuge

A Whirler Bottom Discharge Vertical Basket Centrifuge is a batch filtration machine used for solid-liquid separation. Slurry is fed into a vertically rotating basket lined with a filter medium. High rotational speeds generate centrifugal force, causing liquid (filtrate) to pass through the filter while solids accumulate inside as a cake. Following filtration, washing, and spin-drying stages, the solid cake is mechanically cut or scraped by a plow mechanism and discharged downwards through an opening in the basket floor. This design allows for contained, often automated, solids removal suitable for various crystalline or granular materials.
