A peeler centrifuge in distarch phosphate manufacturing is a batch-operated filtration unit used for separating the modified starch solids from the liquid reaction mixture after the phosphorylation process. It consists of a rotating basket where the slurry is fed. Centrifugal force drives the liquid through a filter medium, retaining the solid distarch phosphate as a cake. A peeling knife then mechanically discharges the cake. This efficient solid-liquid separation is crucial for obtaining the final distarch phosphate product with the desired moisture content.
